Whooooooooooooo! Tomorrow after three and a half years of literally working for “the man,” the loss of approximately 20 IQ points, and thousands of power point slides on everything from sexual assault to carbon monoxide. I’ll be out of the Army!
So to celebrate here’s the song that was my squad’s jam in Afghanistan and the dankest of memes, as promised.
This is technically true.
Edit: Just to make you old timers happy :)
To be clear about the three and a half years part. I didn’t get kicked out, my contract was just for three and a half. I don’t know why.

That’s because the 82nd is The Best.
Full disclosure: I live 45 minutes from Ft. Bragg.

Thanks! Good choice on the Air Force. If any asked me about joining I’d definitely recommend the Air Force over anyone else lol.

Nice. Any plans?
How long do you guys and gals spend on Reserve after discharge?

False, 101st is the best because Air Assault is actually relevant!
/jk, except true.

I’m moving back to Texas and going to school. Still don’t know what degree I want to do yet though :/
Reserve is 8 year minus whatever what you did active, so 4.5 for me. But you can do inactive reserve, which I did, which is basically a 1st round for the draft, your 100% a civilian no drill, training, or paycheck.
